若詢問「時間」本身，則不使用介係詞，若詢問「固定時間的事件、活動」則需使用介系詞。 

What time is it?  (現在幾點)  It is 8:00 (八點) it指時間 

這種依照說話者詢問的時間不同而改變答案的問題，不需使用介係詞。 

What time is the show?  It is at 8:00   it 指表演 

這種具有固定答案的時間，需使用介係詞限定。 

When is the game ?  比賽在何時呢? 答案較為廣泛，可以是時間點:It’s at 7:00 o’clock.七點整

It’s in the morning. 在早上。 It’s at 7:00 a.m.早上七點整。 

It’s on Monday morning. 在星期一早上。 

It’s at 7:00 on Monday morning. 在星期一早上七點整。 

It’s this afternoon. 今天下午。 

the 小時間 of 大時間 此為A of B 的句型 解釋為B的A  of 表示所有 

in the summer of 2013  (2013年的暑假)因此時間為年份使用in 

on the morning of Sunday (星期天的早上) 此時為on 

=on Sunday morning
