反身代名詞定義
主詞與受詞若為同一人或同一群人，用反身代名詞來表達受詞。
反身代名詞文法
第一人稱與第二人稱以「所有格」做變化，第三人稱則以「受格」做變化。
單數字尾加 -self，複數字尾則加 -selves。

反身代名詞基本句型：「主詞＋動詞或動詞片語＋反身代名詞….」。
Amy hurt herself.（Amy傷到了她自己。）→ 受詞為Amy自己，故用反身代名詞herself。
Jack looked at himself in the mirror.（Jack看著鏡中的他自己。）→ 受詞為Jack自己，故用反身代名詞himself。
Andy talks to himself all the time. 安迪總是自言自語。 →主詞與受詞同一人，Andy為男生故使用himself。
Judy and Mary buy themselves beautiful dresses. Judy 和Mary給他們自己買了漂亮的洋裝。
The cat cleans itself. 貓咪自己洗澡。
如何區分反身代名詞與代名詞
如果明顯知道受詞是誰，則受詞直接用代名詞，而非反身代名詞。
He took an umbrella with him.（他帶著一把傘。） → 將雨傘帶著，一定是自己將雨傘帶著，不會是別人帶著，所以使用與主詞相同的受格 him。
He was angry with himself.（他生自己的氣。）→ 生氣的對象可能是別人或自己，故用himself 來強調生氣的對象是主詞自己。
She came and brought the dog with her.（她帶著那隻狗一起過來。）→ 帶著狗過來，狗一定是跟著自己一起來，所以使用與主詞相同的受格 her。
She was talking to herself when I saw her.（當我看到她時，她正在自言自語。）→ 說話的對象可能是別人或自己，故用 herself 來強調說話的對象是主詞自己。
by oneself = alone = on one’s own（靠自己；獨自）
此處的oneself為反身代名詞的通稱，包括myself、yourself、himself、herself、ourselves、yourselves、themselves等。
The box is too heavy. I can’t move it by myself. （這個箱子太重了。我獨自一個人搬不動。）
She doesn’t live with her parents. She lives by herself.（她沒有跟父母住在一起。她自己一個人住。）
反身代名詞加強語氣用法
將反身代名詞置主詞或受詞之後，可加強語氣，表「親自….；本人」之意。
My mother mopped the floor herself. 我媽媽自己拖地。
反身代名詞片語
1.enjoy oneself = have a good time（好好享受一段時光；玩得愉快）
Jane and Mary went on vacation last week. They enjoyed themselves at the beach.
（Jane與Mary上週去度假。她們在海灘上玩得很愉快。）
2.help oneself (to…)（請自便；自行取用）
Please help yourself to some food and drinks.（請自行取用些食物與飲料。）
3.make oneself at home（不要客氣；不要拘束）
Please make yourself at home.（請把這裡當自己家。）

6.beside oneself. (發狂) When Kevin’s cat was dead, he was beside himself with grief.
